Why Join Minyan Na'aleh?
Last year, we
launched our first ever membership drive. As we stated then, you are
already a member of Na'aleh by virtue of your participation in our
community. We initiated an annual dues structure so that we can
assure long-term
sustainability by looking to our
members to support us with an annual gift.
Although we offered no tangible benefits, scores of people signed up for
membership. If you joined last year, thank you very much and we hope
you will renew. If you did not join before, now is your opportunity.
Annual dues for 5772 are the same as last year - $72 per adult and $144
per couple or
family. There is a discounted dues rate of $36 for students or
lower-income individuals. Click above to join.
Last year, we stressed that our membership came without benefits. This year as well, we are committed to remain open and accessible, with no barrier to entry. So you'll never get special “member” rates on anything, you won’t get listed in a membership directory, and there will never be a members-only newsletter (or members-only anything). However, some Na'aleh events may be open for registration to paid members first before we open to the general community. The main reason to join is because your dues – which are 100% tax deductible – help sustain the community you're already a part of. Your dues buy food for our catered Shabbat meals, pay for childcare at all our events, help us plan and organize our Shavuot retreat, pay for the Torah scroll we use on Shabbat, keep our website going, pay educators to teach and inspire us, buy ice cream for a summer picnic, and much more.
And there's more! Thanks to a generous challenge grant from the Natan Fund, your dues or donation to Na'aleh will be doubled if it is higher than your donation last year. That means if you did not join Na'aleh last year or make a donation, your entire dues payment will be matched by Natan and your impact will be doubled! If you did join last year (thanks again!) please consider "upping" your donation. Any amount above what you gave last year will be matched.
