The Omer, the seven-week period between Passover and Shavuot, is a period of great anticipation. We build each day toward Shavuot, the holiday that celebrates receiving the Torah. The Torah represents our history, our values and our covenantal relationship with G-d. On Shavuot, we read the Ten Commandments while standing, as if we are standing again at Mount Sinai, receiving the Torah anew each year. Each day of the Omer brings us closer to this moment.

The Omer is also the time of year that Minyan Na'aleh turns to our community for financial support. This year, we are grateful to have support from the Natan Foundation. Minyan Na'aleh is proud to be one of nine emergent Jewish communities in North America and Israel to be selected this year by Natan for support. The grant from Natan is a tremendous vote of confidence in the grassroots, trans-denominational, innovative community that Na'aleh has been building over the past five years. It also provides an opportunity for you to make your gift to Na'aleh even more impactful.  Natan has extended a challenge grant to Minyan Na'aleh and will match, dollar-for-dollar, any new or increased gifts up to $5,000.
At Na'aleh we seek to build a meaningful, spiritual, connected Jewish community that is open and welcoming to Jews of all stripes and shades. At Mount Sinai, the Jewish people stood as one nation. The universal inclusivity achieved at Sinai is a model for our Minyan, where Conservative, Orthodox, Reform and unaffiliated Jews feel not only welcomed, but ownership of our community. Na'aleh organizes monthly Shabbat services as well as services on Yom Kippur, Purim and Tisha B'Av. We match hosts and guests for Shabbat home hospitality meals. We organize yoga classes and amusement park trips. We hold a Rocky Mountain Shavuot retreat that sells out each year. And this year we began a Community-Supported Agriculture program that supports a local farm and fosters Jewish learning and community-building. We have never charged membership dues in order to create an open and inclusive environment with no barrier to entry.  However, we do rely on our community to sustain us as we build each year.

With this unique opportunity to double your impact, we hope you will take a moment to support Minyan Na'aleh as we embark on our third Omer appeal.
